Lots of Teeth!

Aiden seems to have found his voice and is coming up with a bunch of new sounds. His favorite lately is when he puts his bottom lip just underneath his top gum and says "ba" or "fa" and sometimes it's a combination of the two. It's a lot of fun to watch because it looks like he's talking, unlike the usual moans and squeaks babies make. He also loves blowing raspberries which is adorable but very messy. He is also very chatty and wants desperately to tell you what he's thinking...I'm sure that day will come soon enough.

We visited some friends over Memorial Day weekend and Aiden got to try his first beer. Apparently he found the bottle to be quite comforting on his teething gums. He must of liked it because whenever our friend would take the bottle away, Aiden would lean forward to grab it and put it into his mouth. His top teeth have now broken through, but now I think he's got some more bottoms coming through. I can't wait till he has all his teeth...he'll be much happier and so will his parents.

I can't wait till I get to spend all day with him...only 6 more days of work!!! Yay!

I'm a horrible blogger!

I can honestly admit that I have done a horrible job updating my poor baby's blog. After viewing my friend Jeana's blog I realized I've been a total slacker. I will try and be better.

Let's see, what's new with Aiden since January 1st. He's now 8 months old and there are too many things have been discovered but I will hopefully remember them all. Aiden started sleeping through the night just after Christmas (I think this is the biggest accomplishment his daddy and I are thankful for), he started rolling over at about six months. At the same time he was rolling over he got his first tooth (bottom middle), which was followed quickly by it's neighbor. He is now getting one of his upper teeth, however, it's not his middle one so he might be looking like a little jack-o-lantern for a while.

Aiden started swim class at 6 months and he absolutely adores it. From the moment he got in the water he started kicking his little feet like he was swimming - too cute! His friend Jack is in our class and the boys are absolutely adorable!

Recently Aiden's favorite thing is to go swinging at the park. He smiles and giggles the whole time. He still doesn't know what to make of the slide, but I'm sure he'll enjoy that too soon enough.

Aiden is not quite crawling yet but he does get on all fours and rocks back and forth. He is a fabulous roller and maneuvers pretty well on his stomach - turning himself 360 degrees. He's been eyeing our entertainment system and all the buttons...I'm sure that's going to be another fun adventure!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We had a wonderful holiday and Aiden got to meet some of his relatives for the first time. He met his cousin Alexys, his Aunt Shannon, Uncle Steve, and Papa Wayne. He also got to spend a lot of time with his cousins AJ, Gabriel, and Joey. We were really busy while everyone was here, Aiden was on-the-go almost the whole time. It got pretty cold here so we had to be sure to bundle him up (check out his cute pic with his hat).


He has just turned 4 months old and is developing quite nicely. He started off small but he has quickly caught up - weighing over 15 lbs!! He's cooing and talking a lot, he smiles all the time and giggles at his mommy and daddy, and he's been grabbing and holding on to everything. He is a pretty happy baby who usually only cries when he's hungry or tired (just like his mommy). He is so fun to watch and it is exciting to see him discover something new.

Happy Halloween!

Aiden got to spend his first Halloween with his Papa Fuzzy & Mimi. He also got to go trick or treating with his cousins and his friend Jack. He spent most of the evening sleeping in his stroller (I think all of the excitement made him tired). He can't wait till next year when he might be able to try some candy!

He's had a good visit with his Papa Fuzzy & Mimi - he's been a good host by showing them around town. He got to go to his cousin's baseball game, wine tasting, and took everyone for a walk around the lake. Aiden has been keeping them busy since they walked in the door and will be sad to see them leave.

First picnic

Aiden had his first picnic with his friends Trevor & Jack. We went to a Halloween festival and then enjoyed a picnic in the park. Jack was the only one that decided to wear his costume.

Aiden is 7 weeks now and just about 11 lbs.! He is getting a bit more used to his mom & dad and settling in nicely with his sisters (Harley & Bailey). Although his sisters aren't too interested in him, Harley will occasionally give him a lick on the top of his head.

Grandpa Fuzzy and Mimi will be visiting next week and Aiden couldn't be more excited. He'll get to spend his first Halloween with them as well as his Uncle Bryan, Uncle Todd, his cousins AJ, Joey, & Gabriel. We'll be sure to post some pictures of this as soon as we have them.

Aiden's Friends

Aiden has already had playdates with friends he met while still inside mommies belly. Here are some pictures of his first meeting with them outside the womb.

His friend Alexander is about 3 weeks older and they took a nap and ate lunch together (obviously you can tell Aiden did not want his picture taken). His friend Jack (in carseat) is about 4 weeks older and they went for a walk together around the lake. Obviously there wasn't much interaction, but fun for the mommies to introduce them.

Aiden is looking forward to Halloween - he and Jack are going to go trick or treating together. He's got some more friends on the way. He is a lucky boy to have so many friends already!
